Join us each Saturday night (in July/August) at Bayfront Peninsula Park for the Bayfront Beats Summer Concert Series. Bring your lawn chair, cooler and tent if you want. The annual celebration of the Flip Flop Festival is a weekend carved out of the year where locals and visitors embrace that casual, welcoming feeling you get when you are in Port Lavaca. We love welcoming our guests, some from miles away! Enjoy award-winning entertainment, fresh food, cold beverages and arts & crafts. The Flip Flop Festival is held every Labor Day Weekend.
Holiday Activities on the Bayfront Peninsula
A series of free activities held each year in Port Lavaca to bring holiday cheer to the community and visitors. Holiday events kick off with the tree lighting ceremony at Bayfront Peninsula Park sponsored by the City of Port Lavaca, with help from the Port Lavaca Chamber of Commerce.
The holiday celebration continues with a lighted Christmas parade.
The route begins at Bayfront Peninsula Park, continues down Main Street, turns onto Virginia Street, travels to Sam Faubion and ends at Sandcrab Stadium. Santa will ride in a local fire engine while schools, businesses and organizations participate in the parade.
